Eventide is a period of transition, when day meets night. It is an in-between space – a place of transformation. This theme is explored by 31 Australian artists who each consider this magical time through the exacting medium of relief printmaking. At their basis relief printmaking techniques are integrally linked to the nature of contrast. Each of the artists in this exhibition has conjured up a distinctive work thus contributing to a varied collection of images celebrating the time of Eventide.

Participating artists are: Elizabeth Banfield, T J Bateson, G W Bot, Jazmina Cininas, Paul Compton, Annette Cook, Philip Faulks, Tama tk Favell, Dianne Fogwell, Rodney Forbes, Rona Green, Andrew Gunnell, Rew Hanks, Richard Harding, Bill Hay, Euan Heng, Kate Hudson, Clare Humphries, Deborah Klein, Anita Laurence, Aaron McLoughlin, Rhyll Plant, Fleur Rendell, David Rosengrave, Heather Shimmen, Melissa Smith, Anne Starling, Clayton Tremlett, Deborah Williams, Helen Wright and Keren Zorn.

You are warmly invited to attend the opening of Eventide from 4-6pm on Saturday 14 May at Mornington Peninsula Regional Gallery. Click here to view the exhibition invitation (jpg 1.5mb). Rona, Euan Heng and Deborah Klein will be presenting an artists talk about their work in the exhibition at 2-3pm on Sunday 26 June. All are welcome to attend.
