The exhibition Rona Green: 30 Years of Printmaking is the first comprehensive survey of the artists practice. Throughout her career Rona has demonstrated an enduring interest in the figure and notably a dedication to the development of extraordinary hybrid characters.
Fuelled by a fascination with the animal, Rona explores ideas about persona, transformation and the absurd. Bringing together examples of monotype, lithography, digital printing, etching, screenprinting, linocut and poppets produced between 1992–2022, the exhibition provides a unique insight into the evolution of Rona Green’s distinctive printmaking.
You are invited to the exhibition opening at 2pm on Saturday 19 March at Whitehorse Artspace. If you would like to attend it is essential to RSVP by Monday 14 March to artspace@whitehorse.vic.gov.au or phone 03 9262 6250.
All are also welcome to attend an Artist’s Talk by Rona at the gallery from 2pm-3pm on Saturday 2 April. Please RSVP to artspace@whitehorse.vic.gov.au or phone 03 9262 6250.
As well, Rona will be at the gallery for a Meet the Artist session from 2pm-4pm on Saturday 30 April. No RSVP required.
