The hand coloured monotypes and linocut prints that form Rona’s first solo exhibition at Solander: works on paper is titled Flashy Tasty and explores ideas about identity.
These prints investigate the use of non-verbal forms of communication such as body language, adornment and decoration as a way of providing clues about personality. Tattooing is of specific interest as designs can represent stories as well as contain information about proclivities, affiliation and social status.
Flashy Tasty is running in conjunction with Beasties an exhibition of prints and drawings by Manuel Lau.
Both exhibitions open at 5.30 – 7pm on Wednesday 20 May. Rona will present a pre-opening artist talk at 5pm and all are welcome.
